When designing these courses, our aim was to replicate the physical interactions you’d experience in a classroom environment. In practice, this means you’ll join a virtual classroom with video, audio and screen sharing – with the option of break-out sessions for smaller groups. Teaching will be via a mix of screen-sharing for theory, class and break-out discussions and exercises, followed by class feedback. You’ll also be creating exercise artefacts from within the virtual classroom and the break-out rooms.
The activities have been enhanced to make use of the environment, making for collaboration activities that are often richer than in a classroom setting. Part of the remote course offering is a one-hour, face-to-face session after the course to ensure that all learning outcomes have been achieved.
